Lists of novels, picture books, poetry and short stories all searchable by - Lists of novels, picture books, poetry and short stories all searchable by - A particular subject and/or age range Literary works by Genre Works by a particular author, poet or illustrator Poems by subject and the collections in which they appear Winners of children’s book awards

Search over 18,000 annotated book entries (with an emphasis on Australian and New Zealand titles) by subject, genre, author/ illustrator 2. Search the index of 14,000 poems by subject, poet & first line 3. Search the short story index by subject, author & genre (This includes fables, fairytales, myths and legends as well as literary short stories ) 4. Search the awards database by award name, author & title 5. Follow Links to supporting texts, websites and teacher’s notes 6. Produce specially targeted lists using the LISTMAKER

TO: Create fiction lists to support units of work in Subject areas Create extension or “follow-on” reading lists Check age and content suitability of novels Find ‘novel matches’ for students or teachers Assist teachers to find alternative books for class texts Find stories on specific topics or genres Guide cataloguing choices Add annotations, (with citation), to bibliographic records Source information about awards and award winners Find extra support materials for novel studies Find poetry and poetry links Access additional information about certain books and authors.
