TITRATION Hydrochloric acid 0.1 mol/dm 3 Sodium hydroxide solution – concentration ? To determine the concentration of a solution of sodium hydroxide by reacting it with hydrochloric acid of known concentration

Transfer to a conical flask PIPETTE Measure out 25 cm 3 of hydrochloric acid using a PIPETTE

Fill burette with sodium hydroxide solution Take initial reading on burette. BURETTE

Add a few drops of indicator e.g. phenolphthalein

Add sodium hydroxide until indicator changes colour Permanent pale pink colour Take final reading on burette Trial 1Trial 2 Final reading on burette / cm 3 26.5027.55 Initial reading on burette / cm 3 1.202.30 Titre / cm 3 25.3025.25
