1. Undergraduate Research Participant Pool (URPP) Summer 2014

2.  Earn 4% of your final PSYC 1010 grade by participating in psychology research 4% of your final grade 6 hours in the Summer term (May 5th – July 29th)

3.  Go to the URPP website (http://yorku.sona-systems.com) and create a new account.http://yorku.sona-systems.com

4.  Use a York email address/check spam box  It takes 3 days to receive login info  Enter your student number and course section correctly  Write down your URPP identity code

5.  Complete the prescreen questionnaire  Especially demographic questions - last digit of student number, gender etc.  1 “credit” for each hour of participation. A half hour study would be worth ½ a credit.  You need to earn a total of 6 credits (6 hours) prior to July 29 th to get your full 4%. You must earn 3 credits per term.  Each ½ credit =.33%  Warning: Do not wait until the last minute to earn your credits.

6.  If you have already taken Psyc1010 and are doing it for a second time, you need to earn 6 new credits for this course.  You cannot transfer credits from a previous course.

7.  Show up on time  If you cannot attend your appointment, cancel it  Keep the confirmation emails  July 22 nd – July 29 th : Appeals week Code of Conduct

8.  3-page paper  Summarizing and critiquing a psychology research article  Paper Stream  If you wish to choose this Paper Stream you must email us before May 19 th, 2014

9.  Summer Term start date:May 5 th, 2014  Summer Term end date:July 29 th, 2014  Credit Appeals week: July 22 nd – July 29 th 2014  Paper Stream deadline: May 19 th, 2014
