8. Tobacco contains substances which cause: 1. Lung cancer 2. bronchitis and emphysema 3. Heart disease + damage to blood vessels 4. Pregnant smokers often have low weight babies due to carbon monoxide in the blood reducing the oxygen supply to the baby ( Carbon monoxide irreversibly combines with the haemoglobin in red blood cells)
