3 Key Terms WHIG – a member of a British political party which opposed the Tories in the 18th and 19th centuries. TOMB – an excavation in the earth or rock for the burial of a corpse ; grave. COLOR BLIND – partially or totally unable to distinguish certain colors. DISTINGUISH – to recognize as distinct or different ; recognize the salient or individual features or characteristics. CHARACTERISTICS – a feature that helps to identify, tell apart, or describe recognizably ; a distinguishing mark or trait. TRAIT - a distinguishing characteristics or quality, esp. of one’s personal nature.

4 Question 1 What are some interesting facts about President Abraham Lincoln?
He was born on February 12th 1809, and died April 15th 1865 at the age of 56. His home state is Illinois. When Abraham Lincoln was a little boy he almost drowned in Knob’s Creek but was saved by a neighbor boy. Abraham Lincoln was the tallest President we had. He measured 6 foot 4 inches. Another fact many people don't know is that he was also colorblind.

Abraham Lincoln thought freedom was the most important thing about being President.

Abraham Lincoln was a Whig turned Republican. The Cabinet members of Abraham Lincoln were William H. Seward, Salmon P. Chase, Simon Cameron, and Edward Bates.

He made a difference by ending slavery.

8 Question 5 Was our country better or worse when Abraham Lincoln was done? Explain.
It was better because………………. The Civil War was over and slavery ended because of his efforts. He made America a better place to live in peace.

Question 6 Is Abraham Lincoln still alive? If yes, where does Abraham Lincoln live? If no How and when did Abraham Lincoln die? Where is Abraham Lincoln buried? No, He is not alive today. How, he was at a theater when John Wilkes Booth shot him. He died on April 15th 1865, age of 56. He is buried in the Lincoln Tomb at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Spring Field, Illinois.

10 Final thoughts I learned..................................
That Abraham Lincoln was a really nice guy an he was really serious about his work. He was a great president and did all of his work when it was needed to be done. I really liked this project because I really like to work on the computer and I really enjoyed learning about Abraham Lincoln. It was really fun.
