2.  Working to ensure the success of the 2015 conference a success.  Organizing 2 regional meetings in the coming year.  Celebrating World Hand Washing Day and Global Day for Peace, as well as any other special days the World Assembly recognises.

3.  Requests the other regions to upload photos and reports to show how they support those days.  Requests that ExCo puts links for the 5 regions, an event calendar, and regional newsletter on the website and provide support for the celebrations of those days.

4.  Will build the Asian Pacific website.  Will have regional conference  Will participate in DSED conference in Nagoya, Japan.  Will organize larger number of activities, declared by OMEP for 2014.  Will initiate youth chapters.  Inactive country reports for the year (Indonesia, Philippines and Bangladesh).

5.  Will continue to work on sustainability issue and expand projects to let members understand the concepts.  Strengthen cooperation among members in various levels (families, kindergartens, schools, government etc.).

6.  The major challenge identified included was communication problems, due to inadequate power, Internet access, and finance.  To move forward, all countries shall come together to share their good practices.  Will build a good regional website, with (1) links to OMEP committees, and (2) advices on and good practices of teacher training, so that members may use the ideas to support local communities.

7.  Will expand effective programmes and ensure good participation.  Will have the Africa regional conference in April 2015.  Will reach out and try to bring back all the inactive African committees.  Requests for partnership with international organizations to support quality of implementation of programmes/ projects.

8.  Goals ◦ Strengthen and give visibility to the participation of OMEP (national, regional and global). ◦ Strengthen the identity of the region. Both goals are interdependent dimensions.

9.  Strategies ◦ Alliances and networks with the Government, the Early Childhood institutions, the civil society and the enterprises. ◦ Creation of the Latin American Chair of the OMEP (to work on the ideological dimension, identity and knowledge sharing) ◦ Research projects between countries (production of knowledge) ◦ Define themes for projects and priorities of the region (most countries do not participate in global projects because they do not respond to their concerns and priority issues)

10.  Requests for World Executive ◦ Include in the global agenda of the next Assembly, wide spaces dialogue. ◦ Work to obtain a lower registration fee for the conferences (combat elitism, considering that a teacher in LA has an average salary of 300/450 dollars). ◦ Enable the participation of committee members / VP at meetings of organizations: UNESCO, UN, etc. ◦ Find strategies for members of AL, Africa and Asia that are more distant from Paris or Washington to participate and thus the experience strengthen their knowledge and commitment to OMEP.

Research, both theoretical and applied, through our world projects 4. Special projects currently including Education for Sustainable Development, Wash from the Start, and the refugee camp intervention projects. 5. Teacher/ caregiver education and participation. Two ways to do this are (1) through the special days the World Assembly adopts – like World Peace Day and Global Handwashing Day – and sharing ideas for the celebrations on our websites and (2) increasing information of particular interest to teachers and caregivers on our websites and in our conferences.
