Sept 13 thru October 30 warning period actual start date Oct 31, 2006 Garland Texas program running 4 years and every year a decrease in accidents September 2006 City of El Paso has 4 intersections with functioning cameras

El Paso Statistics for 2004 – 2006 Rear end accidents – 3 fatalities Right Angle 18 fatalities 2 serious accidents resulting in serious injury June 2005 City Council approved use of the Red light Cameras Redflex Traffic Solutions collects revenue on the first 100 tickets per camera, all revenue beyond that is collected by the city of El Paso

5. Future Intersections with red light cameras The city has projected 11 intersections with a total of 16 cameras.

ASIS Sixth Annual Law Enforcement vs. Private Security Golf Shootout set for April 27, 2007 to support Crime Stoppers of El Paso and to raise scholarship funds for students pursuing degrees in Criminal Justice and related areas. Volunteers are needed contact Oscar Barreda for information or to pledge support.
