Definition: Each Individual’s Account of the Experience of New Life in Christ Basic Characteristics Is Has Authority. It Communicates. It Relates. A Biblical Example (Acts 22:3-15) I Have Not Always Been a Christian (vv.3-5). I Committed My Life to Christ (vv.6-13). My Life in Christ is Different (vv.14-15).

GUIDELINES FOR PREPARING YOUR PERSONAL TESTIMONY
Remember That Your Testimony is Important. Be Prepared for Opportunities to Share It. Keep It Short and Simple. Keep It to the Point. Give Adequate Details.

Avoid Bragging and Negative Remarks. Don’t Use “Church” Words. Relive Your Testimony as You Tell It. Ask, “If I were hearing this testimony, what would it mean to me?”

Consider Your Religious Background. Were You Born into a Religious or a Nonreligious Home? Did You Attend Sunday School or Church? How Did You Realize You Were Not a Christian? Under Point 2 Did Someone Speak with You Privately? Was It During a Revival, Sunday School Class, or Worship Service? Was It the Result of a Series of Events? Under Point 3 Has He Given You Peace? GETTING IN THE DOOR Knock Firmly. Step Back One Step After Knocking.
Introduce Yourself and Other Team Members. Call the Person by Name. State the Name of Your Church and Purpose of Your Visit. Ask Permission to Come In.

IF NOT INVITED IN Ask Permission to Come Back At a More Convenient Time. If Reply Is Positive, Make an Appointment. If Reply Is Negative: Ask for Permission to Leave a Booklet. Point Out Features of the Booklet. Thank the Prospect for His or Her Time.

Purpose Allows Us to Become a Friend to the Person by Getting to Know Something About That Person and Showing a Personal Interest. Helps Us to Determine the Spiritual Condition of the Person. Provides a Smooth Transition into the Gospel Presentation.

Choose Partners. Determine Who Will Speak First. Start with F I R E Acrostic. Continue Presenting the Gospel, Using Entire Booklet. After 30 Minutes, Second Person Will Speak.

VISITATION INSTRUCTIONS
Each Team Makes Two Visits. Determine Who Will Present the Gospel on First Visit. Other Team Member Will Present the Gospel on Second Visit. Return to Church for Sharing Time. (Approximately Two Hours After Leaving Church.) Agree on a Time You Will Visit Next Week.
