Common triggers Cloud migration triggers Cash flow challenges
Cybersecurity threats Rapidly scale web apps and infrastructure Business continuity No. of motivation Budget and resource constraints Datacenter contract expiry Common triggers
6
Top of mind How can I ensure my business continues to run without interruptions? How do I address here and now needs and prioritize next set of IT priorities? How can I secure my network and assets from attackers during these already tough times? Should I reconsider running my own datacenter given resource/financial constraints? IT leaders' thoughts roam around, get bit of hesitance to move to cloud. How will my staff adapt to the steep learning curve with new technologies? How do I build the case to invest in the right areas so we’re better prepared for next time?

Azure Hybrid Benefit for SQL Server
Azure only benefit for customers with active SA (or subscriptions) on SQL cores Significantly reduce the costs of running SQL IaaS and PaaS in Azure Pay only the ‘base rate’ in Azure on SQL IaaS, SQL DB PaaS, and ADF v2 SSIS Available for SQL Server core licenses only The Azure Hybrid Benefit for SQL is an Azure benefit for customers with active software assurance (including subscription licensing) on their SQL cores. Customers can use their cores on premise, or as vCores towards eligible Azure data services, detailed on the following slide. By using this benefit, the customer is charged the ‘base rate’ in Azure, which excludes the charges Note this benefit is core only. If customers have server/CAL licensing they will not be able to leverage the Azure Hybrid Benefit and should consider moving to the Core model Customers can use their cores on premise, OR as vCores in Azure However, cores can be used on premise and in Azure simultaneously for up to 180 days, to allow for migration
