So, guys let’s help Meera to learn about “Indian Number System”

4 Let us learn how to read 8 and 9 digit numbers. We know that the greatest 7 digit number is 99,99,999. We get 1 crore by adding 1 to 99,99,999. 99,99,999 + 1 1,00,00,000 1,00,00,000 (1 crore) Is the smallest 8 digit number. We read, 8,35,43,987 as eight crore thirty five lakh forty three thousand nine hundred eightyseven.

5 Now, what is 10 crore equal to? 10 crores = 1 ten crore = 10,00,00,000 By adding 1 to the greatest 8 digit number i.e. 9,99,99,999 we get 10 crore. 9,99,99,999 + 1 10 crores = 1 ten crore = 10,00,00,000 By adding 1 to the greatest 8 digit number i.e. 9,99,99,999 we get 10 crore. 9,99,99,999 + 1 10,00,00,0000 is smallest 9 digit number. 10,00,00,000 We read 25, 52, 23,145 as twenty five crore fifty two lakh twenty three thousand one hundred forty five.

7 Expressing The Numbers Express 3,76,48,715 in words:Write numeral for six crore fifteen lakh thirty seven thousand nine hundred eight: Three crore seventy six lakh forty eight thousand seven hundred fifteen 6,15,37,908 Do not use the words indicating the periods in plural form.
