The award winning architect: Zaha Hadid Engineering: GMD & ETIK Structural Design: AKT, Tuncel & Mero Location: Baku, Azerbaijan Built in: 2012 Height:74m Levels: 9 Built up Area: 57,500 sq.m.
3
Design and Usage of the Structure: It has two components, a structure and a space frame The design a accommodates a library, conventional hall & a museum.
4
Need for Composite Material : Complex Curvilinearity Dynamic Fluidity Cost Economic Elegance and Balance & Etc.
5
Space Frame and Structural Element: The space frame enables the construction of this free form structure while offering significant savings in time throughout the construction process. A flexible relationship between the rigid structural grid of the space frame and the free- formed exterior cladding is easily acheivable.
6
SFRC: It is mainly used to construct shear walls as a partition to separate main spaces and to support the space frames. A raft foundation is also laid with the help of this composite material.
7
Saptial Nodes: The method of maintaining stability is to extend the steel core beam from the reinforced concrete core tube, fix the vertical steel member to the joist, and connect the space frame to the joist.
8
Conclusion: Heydar Aliyev Cultural Centre, a mixed-use of sublimity as it is presented some very material challenges for the engineers and builders. The intelligent used of concrete, steel frame structures, and composite beams and decks. Has made this dream a reality. Lets continue to give life to dreams on earth…!!!
