Spinning: Spinning is the process where fibers are converted into yarn.
Yarn: A grouping of fibers twisted together to form a continuous strand.

Ring Frame
Ring frame is an essential machine of spinning section. The Ring spinning is the final operation in the formation of the ring spun yarn .In this process the roving are drafted ,twisted & finally we get yarn .

7. Objectives / Functions
I. To draft the roving fed to the ring frame.
II. To impact the strength to the fiber strand by twisting.
III. To insert sufficient amount of twist to the yarn.
IV. To attenuate the roving until the required fineness of the yarn is achieved .
V. To wind the yarn into the bobbin.
VI. To build the yarn package properly.

Creeling : Roving bobbin is fitted on to the top of the machine on the creel on the both side of the machine
Drafting : Drafting operation reduces the weight per unit length of roving.

11. Operation In Ring Frame
Twisting : Spiral turns are inserted along the fiber axis . It increases yarn strength.
Winding : After twisting the yarn would on a suitable package layers of yarn , they are wound properly one above another on the package . It should be suitable for unwinding .

Building : For proper size and shape of the package the bobbins are lifted gradually
Doffing : After required length of yarns is wound on the package , the machine stopped

Machine generates more heat .
The capacity of the cop is limited .
Low production rate.
The high speed of the traveler damages the fibers.
Smaller yarn packages cause more knots, hence inferior yarn qualities.
