1 Tivoli Common Reporting 1.2
Introduction to Report Set Authorization

2 Authorization in Web UI
In order to for “Common Reporting” to be visible in the ISC task list, a user/group must have either tcrOperator or tcrSuperAdmin Installing user ID has tcrSuperAdmin With reporting authorization turned on (on by default), in order to see report sets in reporting portlet, users/groups must have tcrSuperAdmin role or have access set for the user/group

3 First, give the user Operator and tcrOperator roles
Example of user access Goal: Give a user access to run reports (no admin function) in the “ITM 6.2 Reports” set, and have no visibility to other reports. The same steps apply to group. First, give the user Operator and tcrOperator roles

4 … Example of user access
Give user tcrSetViewer access on “Report Sets” Needed to navigate the set tree Give user tcrSetViewer access on “Tivoli Products” Give user tcrReportViewer access on “ITM 6.2 Reports” * To set access, either right click on the report set and click “Authorization” or use the CLI. For CLI usage: <install>/products/tcr/bin/trcmd –access -help * In this example, you’ll notice that tcrSetViewer is not an inherited role, where as tcrReportViewer is. Meaning any child set of “ITM 6.2 Reports” also has tcrReportViewer.

5 … Example of user access
The result, the user only has viewer access to the “ITM 6.2 Reports” and it’s child report sets
