2. 1. Measure the uterus with the enclosed sound

4. 3. Pull on the nylon strings until the arms of the IUD are inside the insertion tube

5. 4. Partially Insert: insert the IUD and tube until the flange is 1-2 cm from cervical os

6. 5. Partially release: Advance plunger so that black part touches the bottom of the insertion tube

7. 6. Fully insert: Advance to fundus so that the blue flange is at cervical os

8. 7. Fully release: Holding plunger steady, withdraw insertion tube until it touches the ring

9. 8. Withdraw blue plunger

10. 9. Withdraw insertion tube and cut string 2 cm from os
