3 Question 2: Read page 458, what do the anecdotes about her trips to Tennessee add to your understanding of the author’s childhood? Use examples from the story to support your answer.

4 Question 3: Read page 459, what do the details in the passage tell about Hansberry’s feelings toward summer? Describe those feelings. How does the illustration on pg. 459 add to the description?

5 Question 4: List the words that Hansberry used to describe her feelings about the dying woman? Hansberry calls the summer “the noblest of seasons”. Explain what she means by this phrase.

6 Question 5: Compare & contrast:
In what ways has Hansberry feeling about summer changed? How have they stayed the same? Use evidence from the text to support your answer.
