SoftGlobalization Process
End-user enters 漢字 text string.
SoftGlobalization automatically detects the string is a Japanese SJIS-encoded string.
SoftGlobalization renders string to a bitmap image using SoftGlobalization’s Japanese Font Render toolset.
SoftGlobalization calculates the hex values corresponding to 漢字 for various supported Japanese character sets.
Charset conversion is required in heterogeneous environments.
For example, when transferring data between Sun Solaris 2.51 server with EUC support and Windows NT client apps with SJIS support.
Another example of i18n issues includes sorting and address layout (database schema structure).

17. Our Services SoftGlobalization® QA
Skandis Systems offers a full-range of Quality Assurance services, including Multi-lingual QA.
The screenshot to the left illustrates the results of executing a testplan to specifically test for multi-lingual functionality.
In this example, the testplan has detected bugs while processing multi-lingual file names within a Windows 2000 environment. The application will not accept a Unicode-encoded file name containing non-ANSI characters.
