Fig Dissection of the left cerebral hemisphere demonstrating structures of the limbic system. The body of the corpus callosum has been divided sagitally. The frontal, temporal and occipital lobes have been sectioned horizontally and their superior parts removed. The left lentiform complex and thalamus have been removed and the floor of the inferior horn of the lateral ventricle opened.
