Enabled by the 32Gb/s Switching Module
MDS Analytics Enabled by the 32Gb/s Switching Module When an application user complains, where do you start troubleshooting? Is it an application/host issue? Is it a SAN issue? MDS SAN Analytics provides complete I/O visibility Is it a storage issue? When you’re a storage or SAN administrator, when an application starts complaining, you usually check the host, the SAN and/or the storage. MDS Analytics SAN Analytics provides complete IO visibility. MDS SAN Analytics provides the ability to monitor all flows on all ports at line rate to help administrators make informed operational decisions. Monitor the wire to find the problem

MDS SAN Insights provides line rate IO visibility
Pervasive. No appliance. No probes. Always on. Built in. High Performance Onboard analytics engine for data collection 100% Visibility Every packet, flow and speed for trouble shooting Scalability MDS 9700 Director Platform Connectrix MDS SAN Analytics is achieved through a built-in analytics engine on the MDS-9700 series 32Gb/s switching module. The SAN Analytics engine is capable of producing I/O-level metrics that are computed in every 32Gb/s MDS product in the fabric through a dedicated Network Processor Unit. Customers can now analyze in real time all Fibre Channel exchanges and report on various metrics, thereby providing comprehensive, timely, and continuous monitoring of any potential performance issues or deviation in the network. Connectrix MDS SAN Analytics provides deep packet visibility for Fibre Channel and SCSI headers, monitors every flow, every packet at every speed in real time and it provides predictive and proactive on wire vendor neutral monitoring.
