WRITING A POSTCARD

PARTS OF A POSTCARD Standard postcards have five simple parts.
The greeting A sentence about where you are Some sentences about what you are doing or have done A closing A signature

When we follow this formula, the postcard should look like the following:
Dear _____, I am in _________. We are having a great time and we’re meeting___________. We have done a lot of things since we arrived. We have visited ______________ . We have also _________________. Yesterday we __________. On Monday we’re going to visit ______________________. Wish you were here. Love, _________

VERB TENSES When we write a letter we normally use the present perfect, the present continuous, the simple past and “going to” for the future. I am in _________. We are having a great time and we’re meeting… We have done a lot of things since we arrived. We have visited ______________ . We have also _________________. Yesterday we went __________. On Monday we’re going to visit ___________. Wish you were here.
