2 The aims of my project 1)To introduce the historiography of the British Empire and its colonies. 2)To find out the main causes of its disintegration. 3)To prove the inevitability of great empires’ decline.

3 Introduction The British Empire is considered to be the largest empire that has ever existed in modern history.

4 Why did the British Empire disintegrate in the 20th century?
Every great empire eventually fell apart by overextending itself. By the end of 19th century, British empire was way too extended than they had resources to keep the situation under control.

5 India India is one of the most controversial countries in the world. Despite having such a rich culture and history, it remains to be one of the poorest Asian countries.

6 What are main factors and causes to the decline of Empire?
1)Neverending wars 2)Huge territories 3)Independence movements on the whole territory 4)Weakening economy

7 Neverending wars The British Empire had so many enemies that, of course, it couldn't outrun its wars.

8 Huge territories

9 Movements of independence on the whole territory
After a long time of being under control of the bigger empire people become tired of it and want to make some changes which include more freedom, lower taxes.

10 Weakening economy During all the history the main problem of all the states was the social inequality.

11 Conclusion Perhaps, we may reach the conclusion that the successive rise and fall of great nations is inevitable. Because of prejudices we divide ourselves into nations, parties or communities and fight and hate one another. Unfortunately, sometimes we can not control and make huge changes as we are too busy with our local problems. If somehow it was possible for us to distract from all of the everyday problems and unite for a better goal, we would build strong and invulnerable empire.
