Central services Academies within the Trust are supported by central and field-based teams, including: Governance HR ICT Health and safety Finance Safeguarding Marketing School improvement services Teacher training and Teaching School provision Data protection Procurement Estates

Working together There are currently 38 school in the Trust made up of secondary and primary schools and one special school. The Trust encourages schools to work together to maximise the skills and expertise of all our staff and where suitable create opportunities for career development and promotion within the family. Pupils and staff can benefit from being part of the family through collaborative working, enrichment opportunities, sharing best practice and of course economy of scale. We seek to identify opportunities for improved services like EPM who offer a Trust-wide HR and payroll service consistent across all schools, and representing a considerable saving for all.

Trade Union recognition
Ormiston Academies Trust recognises the following professional associations and trade unions Unison, Unite, GMB, NEU, NASUWT, NAHT, ATL We have a Joint Consultative Committee and Union Recognition Agreement that provide opportunities to inform and consult with the unions on behalf of all OAT academies. These meetings take place at the central office in Birmingham.
