used to + infinitive I used to play football everyday.
They used to be good friends. She didn’t use to cook when she was single. Did you use to watch Bozo’s TV show?

used to + infinitive This structure can only be employed to talk about the past. It does not exist in the present: I use to have pizza for dinner at weekends. I usually have pizza for dinner at weekends. Do you use to talk to friends from school? Do you usually talk to friends from school?

would + infinitive Would can be used to talk about recurring actions / habits in the past, similarly to used to: When I was a child, I would play with imaginary friends. But it can’t be used for states: He would have a crush on Nancy. He used to have a crush on Nancy.

be used to + gerund After being here for 10 years, I am used to living in SP. Are you used to living in a flat? He isn’t used to ironing his own clothes.

get used to + gerund How long did it take you to get used to driving in SP? He still hasn’t got used to working at the new company. She is very adaptable. She gets used to doing new things very quickly.
