2 Basketball Positions Point Guard Shooting Guard Small Forward
There are five (5) typical player positions in basketball: Point Guard Shooting Guard Small Forward Power Forward Center

3 Point Guard Generally the shortest and the fastest player on the team
Possesses a control on dribbling, passing and out side shooting skills.

4 Shooting Guard A shorter and fast player but usually taller than a point guard. Expected to be a good passer and long range shooter.

5 Small Forward Taller and quicker than guards.
Known for ball handling, passing, long and close range shooting, defence and rebounding abilities.

6 Power Forward Power forward is the biggest player after center.
Primarily responsible for rebounding and defence.

7 Center The biggest, tallest and the slowest player.
Deals with inside shooting, getting rebounds and blocking the shots.
