Long hair that is not tied back No perfume

14 Appropriate Behavior Clean up all materials, leaving your station clean for the next class. Show up on time with any pre-lab assignment finished. Leave all backpacks & bags away from lab area. Write everything in your lab notebook.

15 Appropriate Behavior Carry lab equipment with TWO hands.
Never leave a flame unattended. Point hot test tubes away from yourself and others. Follow all lab-specific and chemical-specific instructions.

16 Inappropriate Behavior
NO Horseplaying No tripping classmates NO tasting or smelling chemicals or other lab materials.

17 Tell your TEACHER ALWAYS!
Chemical spill or glass breakage Know where the first aid kit is and what to do if you break glass/cut yourself/ spill chemicals on your skin. Follow all teacher instructions for each different chemical Notify your teacher of any glass that breaks or chemical spills. Large amount spilled? Use emergency shower!

18 In case of chemical exposure to eyes:
Wash eyes at eye wash station.

19 In case of FIRE: Know where the fire blanket,
fire extinguisher, and the safety shower are located. If you or a classmate catches on fire, stop, drop and roll. If possible, use the safety shower to extinguish flames.
