Fahrenheit 451 In the digitized, mechanical world of Fahrenheit 451, what makes something real? What’s more real– books or TV? Are either really substantive?

Motif Review Motif (moh-TEEF): a literary term that describes a recurring object, concept, or structure in a work of literature WHY DO WE CARE? Because motifs are used in books, plays, movies, and music to guide us in determining the theme of the entire piece. If we can see all of the items or ideas that repeated through the piece, it will help us find what the author is trying to tell us about humankind. Think of them like breadcrumbs left by the author to draw your attention toward something important in the theme or message of the story.
