5 Uniform Skirt - knee length
No jewellery (except 1 pair of small, plain, gold or silver stud earrings, watch) No make-up, false eyelashes, pencilled eyebrows No nail varnish, or false nails Shirts tucked in Ties to be worn at all times Leather School Shoes – no trainers ROS

6 PE Kit For all PE lessons students must have: T-shirt Shorts / Skorts
Black Socks Suitable sports trainers Plain black swimming costume/trunks Jumper (optional) Rugby Shirt (boys - optional) No leggings ROS

7 Equipment Pens(3 of each at all times, black, blue, red)
Pencils(writing and a small selection of coloured) Ruler, rubber, sharpener, glue stick Geometry set (protractor, compass etc) Scientific calculator (must have fraction button) Pencil case (do not store equipment in blazer pockets) Age appropriate reading book (mixture of classical texts which are vocab rich and modern fiction) School bag Planner ROS

8 It is essential that all students are in school and on time every day
Attendance It is essential that all students are in school and on time every day If your child is having any difficulty at school, please do not keep them off school. It stops our ability to resolve the problem, can increase anxiety and cause further issues. JOL

9 Attendance Your attendance must stay in the green zone. Our acceptable attendance rate is 96% and over. Mrs Maton, our attendance officer, will stringently monitor your child’s attendance. If your child has an unauthorised absence, you will receive a home visit from Mrs Maton. As a school, we do issue Fixed Penalty Notices for persistent and unauthorised absences. We do not authorise holidays during term time. All medical appointments must be confirmed with evidence, letters, appointment cards etc. JOL

12 The school day Students should arrive in school by 8.25am. Lessons start at 8.35am, if they are late they will be issued a C3 detention There is a 5 minute changeover between lessons, students must get to their next lesson on time School finishes at 3.05pm Detentions finish at 3.50pm for C3s and 4.35pm for C3+ ROS

13 Students will get an R1 every lesson
Behaviour - Rewards Rewards can be earned by being: On time In correct uniform Having all equipment Good effort in class or with home learning The more significant the work the higher the reward points e.g. good quality homework = R2. Exceptional/continued good quality homework = R3 Students will get an R1 every lesson ROS

14 The rewards support students to be the best that they can be!
Behaviour - Rewards R4s are for consistently exceptional effort across a term or100% attendance across the term. Awarded by Head of Department or your Director of Learning R5s awarded by the Principal for consistently outstanding effort or contribution to the community The rewards support students to be the best that they can be! 15 Goffs Churchgate 365! Behaviour
Behaviour expectations apply in and out of school Social media – any activity which is inappropriate (inc. posting pictures of students without their permission) or bringing the school into disrepute will receive severe sanctions, up to and including exclusions. ROS

16 Trips We have a LOT of trips planned this year!
They are all available to view on the school website with an approximate breakdown of costings where applicable. Attendance on these trips, including reward trips, depend on behaviour being fantastic and being role models outside of school.

17 Behaviour Headphones are not allowed in school under any circumstances
Mobile phones must not be seen or heard in school. They will be confiscated if they are seen or heard. Phones will not be returned to students. Parents/carers will have to collect them during school hours. Aerosols are not allowed in any form. If your child needs deodorant in school, a roll on is allowed. ROS

18 Behaviour - Consequences
C1/C2 for poor behaviour – resulting in break or lunchtime detention (15 minutes) with class teacher C3 repeated poor behaviour/more serious incident, afterschool, the following day (45 mins) recorded in your child’s planner/C3 slip and on classcharts. C3+ (90 minutes) ROS

19 Behaviour - Sanctions Failure to attend a C3 will lead to 90 minute detention after school next day Any incident over C3+ will lead to one or more of the following: time in Return to Learn Disrupted Day Saturday Detention Fixed Term Exclusions ROS Remember behaviour is a choice Wrong choices will lead to a sanction!

27 Emotional Wellbeing Some students find the challenges of life quite stressful. Our dedicated Student Support Team are here to help. Julie Bradley is our learning mentor, who will be on hand to support students and families. Mrs Allum and Mr Clune are Mental Health First Aiders Student support and Directors of Learning are experienced and available to support students. JOL
