20 states are using SPIRIT
Share resources (including funding) and knowledge
Testing- all states test new releases
Local agency involvement
SPIRIT was first state agency model- FNS wanted SAMs because they will save money- build once and replicate many times. MO, MN, AR, MT, ME and 13 ITOs in OK and NM- soon AK, MS. Share resources, knowledge and funding. Priority for FNS with funding. All states test- different environments- but share results- work together
