Everyone with Parkinson's has the right to full and equal participation in society and to live a life free of harassment or discrimination related to their condition
Negative attitudes and the physical barriers that exist towards people with Parkinson's, and other disabilities or long-term conditions, need to be challenged
Public understanding of Parkinson's must be improved
FIND A CURE
No cure exists today and investment is needed to help progress research in new and better treatments - in years, not decades
JOIN US
There are lots of ways for you to get involved and support - from volunteering at an event, to corporate fundraising and campaigning for better services

Increase awareness of Parkinson’s, especially in younger people, and the need for investment to help find a cure
Assist employers to become more aware of Parkinson’s and how they can help those affected

THE EVENT

100 miles cycle ride in a day, using a popular cycle route between Bath and Bristol, with the finishing line in Royal Victoria Park in Bath
The event will take place on Saturday 14th September, with the riders setting off at 6am and looking to cross the finish line around 6pm
3 riders will take part in the challenge, 1 of which was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at the end of 2018 at the age of 44
Family, friends, colleagues and sponsors are actively encouraged to join the riders at the finish line and join in the celebrations!!

FUND RAISING STRATEGY

Personal sponsorship through family, friends and colleagues
Using LinkedIn network and its multiplier effect to extend reach with corporate connections
Corporate Sponsorship through logo placement and brand affiliation
Sale of “Ride Shirts” which will contain logo’s of corporate sponsors – wearers will be encouraged to wear their shirts with pride on the 14th September and promote their experiences via social media
Individual collection boxes on day of ride and through supporting businesses
