We are building a world-class specialty in paediatrics and child health medicine across Australia and New Zealand, with more than 3200 Fellows and 1800 trainees.
Our focus is the health and wellbeing of babies, children and adolescents, working with families and communities for best outcomes.

We provide extensive support and supervision to junior medical specialists, and are responsible for the framework to build the next generation of quality paediatricians.
We actively promote excellence in paediatric skills, expertise and ethical standards through training and professional development.

Our strong and effective advocacy gives children and adolescents a voice in the national and international arena.
We take on the important issues that can impact babies’, children’s and adolescents’ wellbeing such as immunisation, adolescent mental health, alcohol advertising in sport, protection of children in detention and harm to children from exposure to pornography.
We are active champions of our patients and their families, providing the bridge between them and the hospital, the community, and the governments.

6. Innovate
We lead innovative approaches to child and adolescent health and wellbeing.
Through our Fellows and trainees, we develop, coordinate, implement and monitor research and related activity in paediatrics to promote the adoption of evidence-based innovations.
RACP Grants have supported Fellows and trainees to undertake ground-breaking work.

7. Innovate
We are active participants in RACPs' Evolve program, which aims to reduce low-value health care.
We champion academic pathways for trainees and Fellows, and in-kind supports national research infrastructure in Australia and New Zealand.
