33 Historical & Field Centre
Council has indicated that they will support the signal mast and field centre projects They have indicated that they are unlikely to support the Museum in the planned location After much negotiation - Council have indicated that this could change if Heritage NZ write a letter of support

34 Historical & Field Centre
HNZ previously supported our proposals during the DOC lease application Despite them finally agreeing that there are no other suitable locations for the museum on the island HNZ will not endorse the proposal.

35 Historical & Field Centre
CURRENT STATUS Negotiations with HNZ ongoing Rather than put the other projects at risk, we may be forced to remove the museum from this application and create a separate one for it (Time and money!) THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE WILL ABANDON THE MUSEUM!!

36 Historical & Field Centre
DOC have wholeheartedly supported us and written a strong letter of support. They continue to help us work to achieve our goal.

37 Historical & Field Centre
WHAT IS STILL GOING ON We have chosen an organisation which we will work with to carry out our capital funding programme We have identified a building company who we will partner with to finalise the project plan for the field centre

38 Historical & Field Centre
WHAT IS STILL GOING ON A big thanks to those employed under contract but who are doing huge amounts of “pro bono” work to progress this project through the unforeseen stages Sarah Macready, John Gardiner and Adina Brown in particular
