8 What Are Your Options? Certificate of Completion
“A student who earns the required 24 credits, or the required 18 credits under s.  (5), but fails to pass the assessments required under s.  (3) or achieve a 2.0 GPA shall be awarded a certificate of completion in a form prescribed by the State Board of Education. Standard High School Diploma A student who earns the required 24 credits, or the required 18 credits under s.  (5), and passes the assessments required under s.  (3) and achieves a 2.0 GPA shall be awarded a standard high school diploma.

9 A Certificate of Completion is NOT a High School Diploma.
Students earning a College Placement Test eligible Certificate of Completion (W8A or W8C) may be admitted to a state/community college, with limitations. Limitations on program opportunities Ineligible to receive financial aid Limitations on career opportunities that require a high school diploma for licensure or certification Ineligible to enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces Limitations to entry level workforce requiring a high school diploma as a minimum job qualifier.

22 Brunch on the River Friday, August 30th at River City Brewing Co.
Cost is $25.00   Departing at 9:30AM / Returning 1:30PM Business Casual Attire (No jeans!) First come, first serve!  Everyone (including part-time Seniors) must ride the bus. If you are full time at FSCJ, contact Mr. Emery to get permission to drive (NLT Wednesday, August 28th).  Accepting payment through Thursday, August 29th (last day to pay)

23 When to Pay Ms. Cruz: 1st and 5th periods in Room C109, Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00-6:00PM in front office.  Mrs. Solon: 1st and 5th periods in Room C206 Ms. Tyson: 3rd and 7th periods in Room Q101

24 How to BE A 5 Star Buc Deadline: May 1, 2020
Students must do the following AND provide proof to be a 5 Star Buc: Apply to 2 colleges Turn in at least 1 college acceptance letter or Military confirmation Have post secondary ready scores Apply for Financial Aid and one or more scholarships Earn an acceleration credit Post secondary ready = 1 extra ticket Post secondary, College Acceptance, and Financial Aid = 3 extra tickets Complete all 5 = 5 extra tickets Deadline: May 1, 2020
