What does the Energy Star emblem mean?
ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices. Look for the emblem when purchasing products or materials for your home.

They use 2/3 less energy to produce the same amount of light.
They last 10 times longer.
They generate 70% less heat.

No! Lowe’s has a recycle container near customer service for safe recycling of CFLs.

Why should I use LED lights where possible?
LEDs last 60 times longer than incandescents and 10 times longer than CFLs.
They don’t generate as much heat as other bulbs.

Office waste, envelopes, paper

It identifies the kind of plastic the item is made of. Our Recycle Center only accepts items numbered 1 or 2.

Bottle and jars but not dishes or glassware.

Consider switching to LED lights which cost far less to use and are more environmentally friendly.
