Setting a CEN standard: why?
Objective: - to safeguard the printer to measure yield Our objective: performance measurement to allow for comparison For: Inkjet Toner, monochrome Toner, colour Under leadership of CEN (Comité Europeene pour Normalisation) Participants: all national CEN-members, both recyclers and oem’s Barcelona 05/04/2006

Members: all national authorities, such as DIN (D) BSI (UK) AENOR (E) AFNOR (F) UNI (I) NEN (NL) ON (AT) Basically still oem controlled Barcelona 05/04/2006

Situation 3 final drafts are ready !
Inkjet was guided by J. Kretschmer, Pelikan Toner (mono & colour) was guided by P. Hortig, Embatex These drafts now go to the national bodies for comment Comments will be discussed again Barcelona 05/04/2006

OEM’s trying to slow it down; the longer it takes, the more they like it Recyclers must now stay involved through the national bodies It’s a long road, but worthwhile in the end: a standard set by recyclers and OEM’s- allowing comparison….. Barcelona 05/04/2006
