1 CSF Westfield Dollars for Scholars: Completing the Student Profile
All DOLLARS for scholars scholarships are applied for online via the dollars for scholars student profile. These instructions have been edited to show csf westfield dollars for scholars requirements. Updated 12/8/2019

2 CSF Westfield Dollars for Scholars Requirements
CSF Westfield Dollars for Scholars does not require all sections of this standard Scholarship America online profile. If your are applying only for CSF Westfield scholarships you do not need the following (even if profile shows incomplete): High School Rank Middle School GPA Test Scores College students do not need high school GPA or high school transcripts Recommendations and References Parent financial information filled out by parents in the Parent Portion of the Profile CSF Westfield does require Financial Information in the Student portion of the Profile: Fill in the EFC amount (Estimated Family Contribution) from the current year SAR (Student Aid Report) received after you fill out the current year FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) AND You must upload a current year copy of the SAR into the online Profile for verification purposes. You will not be considered for CSF Westfield Dollars scholarships without this document. This Online Profile may also be used in applying for Scholarship America and other third party scholarships which may require more sections –check their requirements.

3 Creating Your Profile Go to the CSF Westfield Dollar for Scholars website: csfwestfield.dollarsforscholars. org Click on the student & parent login tab Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the red Login button SCROLL TO BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE

4 Creating Your Profile If you’re a new student, create your account here. If you already have an account, log-in here.

5 Creating Your Profile Start by entering the name of your high school.
If your school name returns too many results, you can filter by the city/state/zip code your school is located in. Click on “Choose This School” when your high school appears.

6 Creating Your Profile Fill in all the fields with the appropriate information. Read the terms and conditions, check the box to agree to them and the hit the submit button. An will be generated to you with your login information. Check SPAM if you don’t see the in your inbox within a few minutes.

7 and Login Info The you received will provide you a link back to the login page as well as a temporary password to use to get logged in. When you first log in using the info provided, you will be prompted with a popup asking you to set your password. Enter whatever password you want to use going forward and hit the Save Password button.

8 Welcome to the Student Dashboard!
The Dashboard lets you: View your progress and follow the link to work on your profile when incomplete. View your chapter matches and links to their websites View the status of the information that comes from 3rd parties. Link to national news and resources. Search for scholarships!

9 Your Student Profile When following the link to work on your profile you will be taken here into the first section of your profile. Notice the progress bars and color matches your level of completeness. Because CSF Westfield does not require all information your profile will have incomplete areas.

10 Student Profile: Basic Information
Items marked with a double star ** are required to move on from each section.

11 Student Profile: Additional Information
Items marked with a single star * are part of your completion percentage. Complete all these fields to get to 100% completion.

12 Student Profile: Schools
CSF Westfield scholarships are only for undergraduate studies If applying for a current year scholarship you must have applied or been accepted at a college. Enter the college you most likely will attend (even if unsure) as choice no. 1 by March 15. You can make changes later if needed. Be sure to fill in your intended majors as this may increase you chances for scholarships.

13 Student Profile: GPA Accuracy is important. Data will be compared to transcripts. GPA to be filled in and transcripts uploaded to the documents section of profile. H S seniors - Cumulative HS GPA (through first semester senior year) is the only GPA needed here. Request your HS Counselor to upload your transcript. •College students - Enter your college GPA from the last college semester completed and upload your college transcript. Unofficial transcripts are ok. To convert percentages to a 4.0 scale, click the box “My school does not calculate GPA on a 4.0 scale.”

14 Student Profile: Class Rank
Select NO. CSF Westfield Dollars for Scholars no longer requires Class Rank for any of its scholarships. Fill in only if you are applying for Scholarship America or 3rd party scholarships that require this information.

15 Student Profile: Test Scores
Click “I don’t have any test scores”. CSF Westfield Dollars for Scholars does not require this information. Enter your test information only if applying for other scholarships that require test scores.

16 Student Profile: Activities
Enter ALL school and non-school related extra curricular activities (church, sports, volunteering, etc.) of any significance. College students should fill in activities from high school and college. Scoring depends on the completeness of your profile.

17 Student Profile: Employment
Enter all your employment information, both high school and college. Scoring depends on completeness

18 Student Profile: Parent/Guardian Information
If you’re under 18, you need parental consent to apply for scholarships. Enter your parent information and request consent. If you are over 18, you do not need consent but can still enter your parent information If you are legally emancipated you can click here.

19 Financial Information
All CSF Westfield scholarships are needs based and require the current year FAFSA EFC amount entered AND a copy of the current year SAR (Student Aid Report, received after submitting a FAFSA) uploaded into the documents section of your Profile to verify the EFC entered here Applicants for CSF Westfield scholarships will not be considered if this financial information is not provided. Scholarship America and 3rd Party Scholarships may require other forms of financial information.

20 Student Profile: Essays
The Goals and Aspirations Essay, in 300 words or less, must address the question in order to be scored well. This is an important part of your profile. The Unusual Circumstances Essay of 300 words or less, is only needed if you have faced difficult or unusual family or personal circumstances in your life

21 Student Profile: Transcripts & References
High school students request transcript information from their high school counselor by clicking on this link. College students must upload a copy of their latest college transcript into the additional documents area. References and Recommendations are not needed for CSF Westfield scholarships. Save and search for scholarships!

22 Student Profile: Finding Scholarships
When you’ve completed all your info, you can begin your scholarship search!

23 Scholarship Matches Some chapters have additional questions you will need to answer to help verify your eligibility. Please note not all chapters have these types of questions, whether or not you are prompted with this screen depends on your local chapter.

24 Scholarship Matches Additionally, some chapters require you to complete additional open ended questions and/or provide additional references. Click the active Questions and/or References buttons here to complete the additional info. As with the last screen, whether or not you are prompted to complete this additional info depends on your local chapter.

25 Student Profile: Scholarships!
If everything is complete the Submit App button will be active and available to click but only after February 1, of the current year, when CSF Westfield Scholarships open. Apply for CSF Scholarships between February 1 of the current year and the March 15, deadline. To submit for a scholarship, you MUST click the “Submit App” button, so be sure and come back, if they are not open, when you finish the profile.
