6 How to change your margins
Position the cursor at the top of your document. On the menu bar select Page Layout. Then select Margins. Select Custom Margins. On the Page Setup screen, select Margins. Now you can change the left, right, top and bottom margins. Click on OK.

7 How to change your margins
To change the margins of a single paragraph only Position your cursor at the top of the paragraph you want to change. Click on the Page Layout menu. Select Breaks. Select Continuous. Position your cursor at the end of the paragraph you want to change. Select Continuous. Highlight the paragraph between the continuous breaks. Select Page Layout. Select Margins. Select Custom Margins. Change your margins. At Apply, select Selected Text. Click on OK.

9 How to set line spacing Select Paragraph on your home menu at the bottom right-hand arrow. Under Indents and Spacing, select Spacing, under Spacing, Line spacing. Select either Single, 1.5 lines or Double. Change Spacing After to 0 pt. Click on OK. Figure 6.6: Setting single and double line spacing (2003 and 2010)

12 How to indent paragraphs
From the Home menu, select Paragraph at the bottom right by clicking on the arrow. On the Paragraph bar, select Indents and Spacing. At Indentation, change the desired width of your paragraphs to be indented on the left and right. Click on OK.

16 Page breaks How to insert pages breaks: How to delete the page break:
Position your cursor where you want the next page to start. On your menu bar, select Page Layout. Select Breaks. Select Page. How to delete the page break: Place your cursor at the beginning of the second page and hold down the Backspace key. Or press the Delete key at the bottom of the first page.

17 Numbering pages Move your cursor to the beginning of your document.

20 How to number pages from page two and omit the numbering on page one
Click on the Insert menu. Select Page Number. Select the position of the page number. Select Different first page on the Design menu. The number on the first page will be omitted.
