Comments from Others Mark Sturza, Chief Consultant at Teledesic commented: “Ying is a top communications systems analyst and engineer. Her knowledge and synthesis ability put her in the top few percent of her field.” Dr. Harold Rosen, pioneer of communication satellites, wrote: “The new design reached a high degree of frequency reuse, which also substantially increased the system capacity and the commercial value of the system.” A Thuraya customer called Dr. Feria’s incline orbit operation design “a straightforward design of a non-trivial system.” Dr. Roberto Vasquez, Thuraya Spacecraft Program Manager, stated “In-orbit the system is working exceptionally well.” Dr. Parthasarathi Ramachandran (Dr. Rom), Vice President, Space Engineering of ICO, wrote, “Ying’s pleasant personality and patience plus her ability to firmly yet unobtrusively put across her viewpoint, won everyone’s admiration and respect, and enabled her to successfully lead combined BSS/customer teams comprised of her peers.”
