Abstract: [Summary slide regarding possible TG3a compromise. Presented during compromise panel to set stage for possible way forward. Given the recent announcement from the BT SIG that they are proceeding on a plan to incorporate UWB as a next generation radio, a needs to move forward quickly or allow other standards groups to define how UWB products will enter the market.]
Purpose: [Inform TG3a members of a possible compromise that may allow TG3a to move forward towards drafting standard that will be accepted by both DS-UWB and MB-OFDM proponents.]

3. Compromise Proposal
Confirm Merger #1 proposal with the following additions:
Include Merger #2 proposal as an option for portable (battery operated) devices.
Either Merger #1 or Merger #2 proposal may be implemented as the only PHY in a battery operated device.
All mains powered devices shall include Merger #1 proposal or both proposals.
