1 Station 1 – Microscope drawings
Trace two circles onto pg. 8 of your notebook Title it Microscope drawings- plant and animal cell Draw what you see under the microscope after you have it focused on high power – use pencil and fill in the entire circle Do the same for both cells – draw one plant cell and one animal Make sure you label them and write what power is was you were looking at – ex: Plant cell, 100X

2 Station 2 – Pond water Do the pink paper that says "Pond water" and glue it on pg. 12 Color the paramecium, an organism commonly found in pond water Take a look in the microscope and observe the pond water 

3 Station 3 – Read and Annotate
Glue a copy of the reading onto pg. 9 in your science notebook Get a highlighter from the container Take turns reading aloud until you finish the article Go back and circle important words Underline main ideas Draw a ! By a new fact or something that surprised you

4 Station 4 – Cell vocabulary
Turn to pg. 10 and label it Cell vocabulary Using a science book, write the definitions of the following words Cell Organism Cell membrane Cytoplasm Organelle Nucleus Prokaryote Eukaryote 

5 Station 5 – Cell drawings
Turn to pg. 11 in your notebook and draw a line through the middle Use a science book or pg. R12 in your agenda On top draw an animal cell using colored pencils and label its parts On the bottom half draw a plant cell using colored pencils and label its parts

6 Station 6 – Versa-tile Move all of the tiles to the top of the versatile so that the numbers show on top and the letters show on bottom  Read "How does a cell membrane work"? Complete the crossword puzzle by matching the correct answers to the questions Close the versatile and turn it over to check your answer
