Questions 1- How many years ago was 1286? TEACH LIKE THIS – Teach a little bit – talk to the pupils. Quick video clip and ACCESS 3 workbook to copy into jotters. Mark off key sections and get the class to make up a small storyboard section each – pictures with their own text underneath – couple of sentences describing events. DEATH OF ALEXANDER III (Under Alexander III = GOLDEN AGE, drinking with friends, stormy weather, crosses the Forth, horse slips and falls on the cliffs at Kinghorn, Scotland with no King!) DEATH OF MAID OF NORWAY (WHO was the Maid of NORWAY, WHY was she to be next ruler? What happened to her? What problem did Scotland have now?) EDWARD I ATTACKS Bonnie Scotland!!! Och aye laddie! Braw!

5 What was the Medieval Period like?
The Medieval Period was very violent. People lived under the constant threat of invasion and needed STRONG leaders to protect their kingdoms and provide for them.
