10 I John 1:1-4 1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life—

11 I John 1:1-4  2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—

12 I John 1:1-4  3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.

13 What should I talk about?
Pastor Miguel Arthur Roderick Jimmy Tinecheff My dad

14 What should I talk about?
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, …seen …, looked upon, handled…, concerning the Word of life—  2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—   3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, …

15 What should I declare (talk about)?
I know Him personally I have eternal life (see John 17:3) Come and join us. John 17:20-21 I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;  that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

16 WHO WILL YOU TELL? If you have a name in mind right now, tell the person sitting next to you. If not, pray right now for the name of someone you can tell this week.

17 Play list Getting informed about I John What should I talk about? How do I fellowship?

18 What’s the goal?  3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.

19 What’s the goal? fellowship - ‘friendly association, especially with people who share one‘s interests.’ (Bing) …not just people enjoying each other’s company, but people participating together in something. Fellowship is communion –having a share in something.’ (studylight.org)

20 What’s the goal? Acts 2:42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Tell about what God has done (v3)   Share things that improve our fellowship with God or with each other Sharing these things brings God’s joy (v4)

21 CONCLUSION We need fellowship (sharing with Christians) for spiritual health Let’s devote ourselves to it Telling others is a key goal Bring them into fellowship True fellowship brings joy The basis for true fellowship with each other is true fellowship with God (Do you have that?)

22

23 Did you ever say…? ‘no one is friendly in church’

Get connected… Get into fellowship with God and with His people Don’t leave early at the end of the service – fellowship! Ask someone’s prayer need Eat with someone today (Go Dutch; not dating!)

25 Shining the Light = fellowshipping in unity & love
I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;  … that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. John 17:20-21
