2 A Little Background on Me…
I am an “old” millennial. Maybe a Xennial? Grew up using Prodigy on home dial up computer. Freshman year of college was the first year school allowed registering for classes online Napster! First smart phone in 2009 I love to try ALL new tech, but it only sticks if it solves a problem for me or makes my life better/easier.

I want to convince you that you are not too busy to make work easier and more efficient!

4 The ”Problems” with New Systems…
Time to set up $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Training The current system is “working”

5 My Current Institution
Somewhat centralized, but spread between neighboring cities 15 min walk from one end of campus to the other Online IRB, IBC, IACUC, etc. Only rodents Primarily focused on cancer and diabetes.

Huge plus for our “customers” Mobile web form Super fast updates to form New doses New drugs Everyone on the same page Sick or vacation, no issues Time stamp Analytics What labs request the most? Potential for inventory? Labs now must visit department website “Wow, you have a newsletter?” All this from 4 hours of work?

14 Lessons Learned Not intended to replace a CS drug log
If an error is found, fix immediately The ”nay sayers” are waiting to pounce Focus on the main purpose, not the 1/1,000,000 exception. Help everyone along the way see how it can make their job easier. Request feedback constantly.
