Economic growth and infrastructural development especially towards the achievement of independence

Economic growth and infrastructural development

7 P : 1966 - 70 PD : First Malaysia Plan MDP :
Infrastructural development, economic growth and eradication of poverty.

8 1971 – 75 : Second Malaysia Plan

Continuation of policies in the Sixth Malaysia Plan.

17 P : 2001 – 2005 PD : Eight Malaysia Plan MDP :
Continuation of policies in the seventh Malaysia Plan. Enhance competitiveness in economy to face globalization, liberalization and glocalization

18 Shift of growth strategy from being input–driven towards
knowledge–driven (k– economy, k–workers, k–society). Upgrading R & D, and S & T in all sectors of development Social and political stability
