5 Smart Metering Electricity Residential CBT 37% Response rate
Electricity SME CBT Trial approved by Steering Group on 20th November 832 meters to be installed by 1st June 2009 Cost Benefit Analysis ESRI met with workstream leads in November.

6 Smart Metering GAS Residential & SME CBT
Final trial proposal to be brought to Steering Group for approval on 18th December. Technology Trials Trial scoped and planned by ESBN Meter rollout to begin June 2009 10,000 – 12,000 meters Final report due June 2010

7 SIG SIG Retail Development Unit Circulation of SIG Terms of Reference
4th November & 2nd December Retail Development Unit Will examine retail competition issue in electricity and gas. RDU will work with CER on issues of market harmonisation Circulation of SIG Terms of Reference Participants to review and provide recommendations on the future role of SIG

8 SIG Agency Service NIE processes market messages for suppliers under certain circumstances, e.g. New small supplier or suppliers who had their certification removed. Increased administration and potential escalation of costs. Request discontinuation of agency service for new suppliers. All new suppliers required to use EMMA (Electricity Market Messaging Application).
