3 An improper fraction has a numerator greater than or equal to its denominator.
A mixed number shows the sum of a whole number and a fraction.

4 Changing a mixed number to an improper fraction.
Example 1: Change 2 πŸ‘ πŸ’ 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧 improper fraction. Multiply the whole number by the denominator. 2 x 4 = 8 Add the product to the numerator and this is the new numerator. 8 + 3 = 11 𝟏𝟏 πŸ’ Keep the same denominator.
