1 Federal Work Study Hiring Steps
For any questions or concerns please contact the Student Financial Services Office Greta Silva – Federal Work Study Coordinator

2 Student MUST formally Accept or Decline their Work Study award

3 Upon accepting your award
Upon accepting your award. Must submit ALL your Hire Forms and submit original copies to the Student Financial Services Office.

4 Once your Hire Forms have been submitted, you can then begin to apply for jobs 
Use JOBSCORE - for a listing of employment openings -

5 Once you have found a job a Work Study Hire Form must be submitted
Once you have found a job a Work Study Hire Form must be submitted. Make sure to select the appropriate supervisor and department.

6 Work Study Hire Forms will be sent to your assigned supervisor for approval

7 Once Supervisor approves Hire Form (indicating your Pay Rate)
Once Supervisor approves Hire Form (indicating your Pay Rate). Student’s will need to formally accept or decline the position being offered.

8 Once both parties have accepted
Once both parties have accepted. The student will be able to access their Time sheets by using the TAS portal. A SUNY ID is required for initial Log in. This can be obtained by referencing the Student’s Work Study Hire Form or by contacting the Student Financial Services Office. Time Sheets Link -
