Doctors thought it may be a brain tumor but they didn’t have the equipment to investigate

They discussed what “surrender” meant
“ ‘Surrender means that we are prepared to follow God’s guidance, wherever or however He guides, no matter what the cost.’” (Eric Liddell-Pure Gold, pg. 279)

Eric wrote Florence a letter
Suffers a seizure, goes into a coma and dies
He was 43 years old
Autopsy showed he died of an inoperable brain tumor
The others would be freed in August

Because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Rom. 6:23)
“But God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom. 5:8)
