2. REPROGRAMMING PROCESS
Elite Model: not all somatic cells were re-programmable
- e.g.: presence of Multi-lineage-differentiating Stress Enduring (MUSE) cells is predominantly responsible for IPSCs generation from human fibroblast.
Stochastic model predicted that all somatic cell types might be reprogrammed with the involvement of epigenetic alterations enrouted to pluripotency.
- e.g.: reprogramming of skin fibroblast, dental pulp, peripheral blood cells, T-cells, BM-cells, skeletal myoblast.
