1 2008: The race for the White House

2 Collect your thoughts:
In what ways is your candidate a good/bad representative of what the party is about? In what ways is your candidate appealing/not appealing to the whole voting public in the general election?

3 Caucuses

4 Activity Divide into Democrats and Republicans
Each of you should present as much information about your candidate as they know, and your analysis of what each candidate’s strengths and weaknesses are. Then collectively debate which candidate should be the nominee. Democrats: You get to send ten delegates from your caucus to the nominating convention. You can give as many delegates as you want to whichever candidate you want. How will you allocate them? Republicans: You must decide among yourselves on one candidate to give your ten delegates to. One person should take notes on your discussion to present to the class.

5 What would the general election race look like with these two nominees
What would the general election race look like with these two nominees? Who would win?
