3. AIMS PRESERVATION DOCUMENTATION PROFESSIONAL HELP
Preservation and protection of the objects and symbols that embody the history and culture of Calicut
To identify, evaluate, document and digitize such objects and symbols like buildings, monuments, artefacts, documents, photographs, oral traditions etc.
To seek professional advice and assistance in preservation and documentation.

CHF conducts monthly meetings where eminent speakers lecture on selected topics. Archived proceedings are available online.
We invite an eminent speaker in some area connected with the history of Kerala/Calicut to deliver the annual Prof. K.V. Krishna Ayyar Lecture on 3rd November of every year.
We award the annual Prof. K.V. Krishna Ayyar scholarship to a researcher (M.Phil or Ph.D) who specialises in some aspect of the history of Kerala/ Calicut.
