3. AMENDMENTS OF THE COMPETITION LAW
New criminal provisions
Exclusive exception from the possibility of settlement of a case

4. The Use of Non-Cash Means of Payment Law
Liable persons:
All state authorities & public legal persons whose capital is owned by the state
Private legal persons, in case:
Number of employees exceeds threshold
Total amount of monthly wages exceeds threshold
Type of payments specified in the law to be settled via non-cash means of payment

5. The Use of Non-Cash Means of Payment Law
State authorities are required to make available means of acceptance of non-cash payment to their suppliers
State authorities shall provide positive incentives for payment through non-cash means of payment
Penalties:
whoever violates the provisions (1 & 2)
whoever fragments payments with the intent of avoiding the application of the thresholds established
whoever violates the provisions (3) shall be fined between EGP 100,000 and 300,000

6. TEMPORARY PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES ON IMPORTS OF CERTAIN METAL PRODUCTS
Imports of reinforcing steel item (bars, coils, rods):
Imposed for 180 days
At a rate of 25 % of shipment value (CIF)
Imports of semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel (billets):
At varying rates
Export Development Fund Account at CBE

7. AMENDMENTS OF THE EDUCATION LAW
The Civil Service Law no. 81 of the year 2016 replaces the Civil Servants Law no. 47 of the year 1978
Requirements of occupying the teaching jobs:
Nationality
University degree
The professional development programs

8. AMENDMENTS OF THE EDUCATION LAW
Appointment as “assistant teacher”:
Contract
Certificate of eligibility
Conditions to be appointed as a “teacher”
Appointment to ”education” posts
Appointment as “director of education department” or “assistant director of education department”
Appointment as “school principal” or “assistant school principal”
